Trotter Inc was founded in 1973. Founder Edward Trotter built fitness equipment to help prevent cardiovascular diseases. On May 1997, Cybex merged with Trotter to become the Cybex International you see today.

Cybex international has become a leader in the manufacturing of fitness, cardiovascular and strength equipment. They based their exercise equipment on the science of ergonomics and biomechanics
Pros
Trotter has always built high quality machines and then priced them like they were made out of gold. Trotter and Cybex machines can last for a long, long time if they are maintained. They are putting quality into the product.
The overall rating of Trotter treadmill is strong. Cybex and Trotter have a good reputation and they put lots of effort into building a machine that will not deceive its customers.
Cons
The only weak point of the trotter treadmill is its price. With a price tag of $6,000, it’s not a range for everyone.
Summary
The Trotter Elite is like a commercial model made for homes. It is a solid model and has no real drawbacks. However, we think that you can get a better deal with a Life Fitness or Precor treadmill. These brands offer excellent treadmills at a much lower price.
