In recent years, Body-Solid® United Kingdom included Steelflex® Cardiovascular equipment and Steelflex Weights and Accessories to its line of products. Steelflex is manufactured to the very same high standard as Body-Solid Strength Training equipment. They offer treadmills, exercise bikes, elliptical cross trainers and pro style Olympic weights for home and commercial use.
As with Body-Solid fitness equipment, all Steelflex products are manufactured in a state-of-the-art ISO 9000:2000 certified facility. The ISO 9000:2000 certification is only awarded to companies that comply to the most stringent quality, design and customer support standards, and is recognised worldwide as the sign of excellence. Steelflex® is a UK Registered Trademark.
Pros
The first strong point of SteelFlex treadmill is its durability and stability. These frames are welded steel frames. For the models below the $1,500 range, that is a PLUS.
SteelFlex likes to include many built in programs. Some models have up to 25 different workouts. It might be useful if you find yourself getting bored easily.
SteelFlex treadmills do not have many strong points but they are rather average machines. Nothing seems to stand out.
Cons
Unfortunately, SteelFlex does not have a good warranty. With only 2 years on motor an 1 year on parts, you would think you are buying an Icon treadmill.
As usual, a poor warranty leads to poor quality and resilience.
Summary
In Conclusion, SteelFlex is concentrating its market in the UK. Although there are distributors in the States, we would suggest Smooth treadmills over this brand.
