Image treadmills operate under the expanding company named Icon Health & Fitness. Icon is the manufacturer of other brands such as Proform, Reebok, and HealthRider. They are not known for their high quality parts or long durability in their machines. In fact, most warranties offered by Icon fitness have a short duration. This short period reflects the quality of the product.
Image belongs to the largest fitness retail company. Being the biggest retailer does not mean the best. They have recently put a lot of emphasis on the design of their machines, which would compensate for the “poorer” quality of the machines. However, recent discoveries of overseas cheaper prices drove Image to better and stronger motors, thus its newer models are likely to have better warranties for motors, but still 90 days for the rest.
Image treadmills are the lesser known machines of Icon Health and Fitness brands. However, its models seem to deliver a better value for money than its counterparts.
Pros
The first strong point of Image treadmills, as mentioned above, are the increase performance in their motors. Icon Fitness decided to go overseas in purchasing its motor; which results in better motors at a lower price. Image treadmill’s newer models will tend to have a longer motor warranty.
Another good point is its design. With many engineers constantly looking to improve the Image treadmill, the design seems to be one of its top qualities.
The biggest strong point may be its value for money. Image treadmills are affordable and they offer great features for the price you pay.
Cons
Other than its motor warranty, the rest of it is quite weak. The advanced models have 1 year on parts and labor, but the remaining models only have 90 days.
Although Image is known to have good customer service, once your warranty has expired their customer service declines.
The great design is countered with a poor quality Image treadmill that is not resilient or durable.

Most treadmills under $1,000 can lead to future breakdowns and frequent repairs. For this reason, we suggest the Image treadmill Advance models for their better quality and features. If your budget is under $1,000, the 19R would be your best choice. Opt for the extended warranty.
