Cateye Fitness is centralized in Japan. They are regarded as high quality fitness equipment producers. However, it’s unfortunate that their one treadmill doesn’t live up to those standards.
Cateye is more known for its exercise bikes. They have 10 models of bikes to choose from. It’s important to note that treadmills are not their forte.
As with other brands, Cateye has its treadmill built in Taiwan. The assembly company is the same who produce Vision treadmills.
Pros
The T 220 Cateye treadmill has a large walking space. The belt size is at 20 x 60 inch.
Its 2.5 continuous duty motor is quite strong. The quality and resilience of the T-220 is average. Its outsourcing to Taiwan gave it some bumps and bruises.
Last but not least, Cateye Fitness itself is a good company. They are constantly innovating and introducing new technologies for their clients.
Cons
The value of the T-220 is a bit weak. The price is quite high for the specs and features included.
Treadmill doctor says “A Johnson treadmill for the price of a True, Precor, Landice, or Bodyguard…what’s wrong with this picture?” This depicts the fact that the T-220 is definitely overpriced.
