The Alliance Fitness Brand
Alliance functioned under the Keys Fitness company which also manufactures: Healthtrainer, Ironman, Keys and Discovery brands. Keys Fitness is based in Garland, Texas and the Alliance brand was one of the last to develop and assemble their equipment in the United States. With competition at it's strongest, Keys is also following the trend to purchase equipment overseas, with one large distinction, the assembly takes place in the USA. While the Alliance Brand is dead, Keys continues to produce fitness machines with a reputation of being one of the stronger companies in specialty fitness.
Pros of Buying Alliance Series Treadmills
The first strong point in Alliance treadmills is the higher quality parts integrated in the machine. The quality is higher in relation to other treadmills in the same price range. Ironman treadmills are another brand manufactured by Keys fitness that has the same strong point.
The warranty on frame and motor is strong. The parts warranty is 2 years, which is in the lower limit when considering the price of Alliance treadmills. Higher quality treadmills will result in a better warranty and it will give you more confidence when purchasing the treadmill.
Some strong features included in its machines are a cushioned deck, orthopedic belt, and strong motors.
Cons of Purchasing Alliance Series Treadmills
A major weak point of the Alliance Series brand treadmills is the assembly quality, with a close secondary problem being design - not enough "umph" to support the brand. With slightly above average treadmill quality, probably stemming from some of the overseas purchasing, Alliance was doomed to fail.
Recommendation
The Keys fitness company is a strong player in the equipment market, however Alliance treadmills are dead. Definitely take a look at other brands on the lower cost scale, such as: Healthrider or Sole.
